Sustainable Livelihoods and Basic Support Organization

OUR PROGRAMS

At SULBAS, we are committed to empowering Black communities and other marginalized groups to build sustainable livelihoods and rise above poverty.

We also serve as the parent organization to SABAHF (Sustainability and Basic Health Foundation) in developing countries like Cameroon. With shared leadership, mission, vision and branding, SABAHF focuses specifically  on addressing essential needs in Health, Education, and Skills development, equipping individuals and families living in poverty with the tools to earn a living and sustain their Livelihoods.

Educational Support

Basic school supplies, scholarships, vocational training, and mentorship for impoverished minorities seeking to further their education and skills

Health Initiatives

Access to essential health services, health education, and wellness programs to improve the quality of life for low-income earners, the elderly, people living with disabilities, and families living below the poverty line.

Economic Development

Workshops, small business support, and financial literacy programs aimed at fostering entrepreneurship and economic independence.

Child Rights and Protection

We implement programs to safeguard the rights of children, ensuring every child is treated with dignity, respect and care, regardless of their background. We prioritize vulnerable children, especially orphans, and kids from impoverished families, by providing them with access to essential resources such as healthcare, education, shelter, and emotional support, ensuring they have the opportunity to thrive.

Our Mission

Sustainable Livelihoods and Basic Support (SLBS) is dedicated to empowering Black communities and other marginalized groups by fostering sustainable livelihoods, education, and health. Through comprehensive support and initiatives, we aim to break the cycle of poverty and create lasting opportunities for individuals to thrive.

We envision a world where Black communities and other marginalized groups have equitable access to resources, education, and opportunities necessary to lead sustainable, healthy, and fulfilling lives. Together, we are building a future where poverty is eradicated, and every individual can achieve economic independence and social well-being.
